Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Senior RF IC Design Engineer to develop high-performance RF/microwave ICs and reusable IP for advanced semiconductor applications, including cryogenic CMOS and quantum systems.

The role spans architecture through tapeout and silicon characterization, with close collaboration to technology, PDK, modeling, packaging and test teams to enable customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of RF/microwave/analog IC design experience.
• Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals: impedance matching, S-parameters, stability, noise, linearity, phase noise, RF power, transmission lines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF/microwave ICs and reusable IP: LNA, PA, mixers, VCOs, PLLs, switches, phase shifters, matching networks.
• Architect, schematic simulate, layout-aware, tapeout, and silicon characterization.
• Analyze RF performance including S-parameters, noise figure, gain, stability, phase noise, and parasitics.
• Collaborate with device modeling, PDK, tech, packaging, and test teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Microwave/ RF
