Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a full-time Senior Project Archaeologist to lead CRM projects for federal and state clients across the eastern, midwestern, and southeastern United States. The role combines project management, technical leadership, field direction, report preparation, client coordination, and staff mentorship from kickoff through final deliverable.

Candidates based in NC, VA, or within about half a day’s drive of Charlotte, NC are preferred.

Formación

• Master's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible CRM experience with field leadership and client communication.
• Experience leading archaeological field crews and managing deliverables.
• Experience with Phase I surveys, Phase II testing/evaluation, and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Section 106, NEPA, and state guidelines where work is performed.
• Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead CRM projects from kickoff to final deliverable, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, field execution, documentation and closeout.
• Direct Phase I surveys, Phase II testing and monitoring, and other field investigations as needed.
• Coordinate mobilizations, logistics, safety planning, data quality, and communication with teams and clients.
• Prepare and contribute to technical reports, proposals, and scopes of work.
• Review field records, GIS data, analyses, and technical products for quality and compliance.
• Apply Section 106 and NEPA guidance to planning and documentation.
