Zusammenfassung

Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking a full-time Senior Project Archaeologist to lead cultural resource management (CRM) projects across federal and state clients in the eastern, midwestern, and southeastern United States. This role combines project management, technical leadership, field direction, and staff mentorship from kickoff through final deliverable.

Candidates based in NC, VA, or within ~ half-day drive of Charlotte preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of CRM experience with field leadership, technical reporting, and client communication.
• Experience leading archaeology field crews and managing project deliverables.
• Experience directing Phase I surveys, Phase II testing/evaluation, and monitoring during construction.
• Knowledge of Section 106, NEPA, and state guidelines for applicable work regions.
• Strong technical writing, editing, communication, data analysis, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ability to work independently, lead teams, and mentor professionals.
• Experience with GIS-based field data collection, analysis, mapping, and reporting.

Aufgaben

• Lead archaeological projects from kickoff to final deliverable, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, field execution, documentation, and closeout.
• Direct Phase I surveys, Phase II testing/evaluation, monitoring, and other field investigations as needed.
• Coordinate field mobilizations, logistics, safety planning, daily production, data quality, and client communication.
• Prepare and contribute to technical reports, regulatory documents, research designs, methodologies, proposals, and scopes of work.
• Review field records, GIS data, analyses, and deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Apply 106 and NEPA guidance to planning and documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables across ERG.
• Utilize GIS-enabled field collection, mapping, and reporting tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
