Job summary

CPG is seeking a Critical Systems Technician IV, Switchgear to join our mission-critical electrical services team in Tempe, AZ. You will oversee installation, service, testing, commissioning, maintenance and operation of data center electrical equipment under contract.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of field experience with power distribution, UPS, switchgear and related systems; NICET/NETA certifications are preferred. Travel ~30% and pre-employment background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of mission critical electrical systems experience.
• Experience with electrical power distribution equipment including UPS, switchgear, batteries, monitoring equipment, and generators.
• NICET or NETA certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications with sales and PMs to define field operations scope.
• Provide job-specific technical support and interface with the factory for site issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on contracted gear and install/service power distribution equipment.
• Create MOPs/SOPs/EOPs and perform function testing of switchgear and related equipment.
• Travel up to 30% and ensure compliance with contractual commitments; report to PM/Director.
