Job summary

Salute Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership on HVAC and fluid systems at a data center site. This role mentors facilities and commissioning engineers, serving as hands-on guidance within critical environments.

The SME will optimize mechanical reliability, supervise electrical system work, develop SOPs, and lead RCA processes. Strong collaboration with vendors and cross-disciplinary teams is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 8 years of electrical experience in a mission-critical environment with ABET-accredited bachelor’s in engineering
• Experience performing electrical operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Knowledge of mechanical controls and fire suppression/alarm systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Willing to grow personal development and technical qualifications

Responsibilities

• Optimizes the reliability and performance of the mechanical systems within data centers
• Oversees the preparation, execution, and quality control of all work on electrical systems
• Develops and maintains operating procedures (SOP / MOP / EOP)
• Leads the root cause analysis (RCA) process for electrical system events, faults, and issues
• Manages the vendor relationships which provide support for electrical systems
• Trains facility engineers on electrical system fundamentals during the initial qualification process
• Delivers formal classroom training on electrical systems for the data center operation team
• Fosters strong team culture
• 100% completion of required Talent LMS based training courses as assigned
• 100% adherence to Salute culture and best practices
