Job summary

Global Technical Talent, an Inc. 5000 Company, is seeking a Principal Critical Facility Architect in Oakland, CA. The role focuses on electrical design of power systems for data centers, comm rooms, and IT facilities, including backup power, generators, and 48 VDC plants.

A California-registered electrical engineer is required, with hybrid work of about 2 days per week. The position offers direct-hire employment with a salary range of $165,000–$210,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• State of California Registered Professional Electrical Engineer license is required.
• Experience in multi-tier enterprise technology environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs critical facility team in battery, power board, generator, and facility upgrades.
• Oversees power system architecture and design to meet client requirements.
• Engages with clients to develop power solutions and ensure delivery aligns with design requirements.
• Provides guidance during design, build, test, and deployment phases of IT projects.
• Leads cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget implementation of power systems.
