Job summary

ATF seeks a Criminal Investigator (Program Manager) for the NCETR within the Fire Investigation and Arson Enforcement Division. The role advises senior agency leadership on policy and technical matters and leads complex projects addressing national enforcement priorities.

The position requires guiding headquarters and field personnel on new developments, presenting findings to Congress, and coordinating multi-agency teams to advance ATF’s mission.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience required at GS-14 level or equivalent.
• Experience advising top management on policy/technical matters.
• Ability to lead investigations and coordinate task forces.

Responsibilities

• Advise top Bureau management on policy and technical issues.
• Direct and coordinate studies or task forces on national significance.
• Provide technical assistance on major federal investigations.
• Lead Headquarters and field managers on impact of new developments.
• Prepare briefings and papers for Congress, management, and partners.
