Job summary

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is seeking a Crime Intelligence Analyst to support the Miami Regional Operations Center's Analytical Support squad. You will compile, evaluate, and analyze confidential information to guide sophisticated investigations and independently research criminal activity across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include preparing briefs and reports, coordinating information sharing, testifying when required, and training fellow analysts.

Qualifications

• Four to nine years of analytical experience in criminal intelligence or related field.
• Bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of experience.
• Master's or professional certificates can substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis of confidential intelligence for investigations.
• Lead analysts on specialized projects and support investigations with recommendations.
• Prepare oral briefs, written reports, and intelligence assessments for management and prosecutors.
• Coordinate inter-state information sharing and maintain chain of custody of evidence.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced crime intelligence analysts.
