Job summary

Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is seeking a Criminal Justice Information Consultant I to support Applicant Services Unit, assist with operational processes, and ensure system integrity. The role requires analyzing data, monitoring projects, and applying state and federal rules to ensure compliance.

Under supervision, the incumbent will provide recommendations, assist with research related to laws and regulations, and maintain NCIC/FCIC certification while safeguarding department

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of the Office of Financial Management payment processing procedures.
• Ability to record, collect, evaluate, and analyze data.
• Ability to organize files, records, and/or other materials.
• Ability to operate personal computers and other office equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data.
• Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to read and interpret state statutes.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance and recommendations related to multiple ASU-related processes, systems, and special projects.
• Providing assistance in compiling, analyzing, and organizing data to facilitate processes and complete special projects, as assigned.
• Monitoring special projects and ensuring that findings are applied, implemented, and documented.
• Delivering administrative, operational, and technical expertise and support related to processes.
• Providing ongoing quality assurance by identifying problem trends and recommending workable resolutions for CHS-related processes and systems.
• Evaluating and analyzing incoming requests and applying state and federal rules, laws and procedures to formulate a recommendation and ensure compliance with agency requirements; and
• Providing bill analysis in effort to evaluate any potential impact to the section and ASU-related systems.
