Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a Credit Risk Management professional in San Francisco to develop underwriting and pricing strategies for Personal Loans. You will build risk-adjusted returns, monitor losses, and identify responsible growth opportunities.

You will design tests, create dashboards, and analyze loan performance to drive actionable recommendations for stakeholders. A hybrid in-person model is in place.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in credit, analytics, risk management, data science, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics).
• Proficiency in SQL; Python or R for analysis.
• Experience building dashboards with Tableau or Excel.
• Strong understanding of statistics and hypothesis testing for credit risk.
• Ability to explain findings clearly in writing and presentations.
• Curious, collaborative, and able to seek guidance when needed.
• Familiarity with AI tools and applying them responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit strategies across underwriting, pricing, loan amounts, and verification.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests to understand risk-return tradeoffs.
• Build automated dashboards to track KPIs across funnels and strategy performance.
• Analyze loan performance data to identify underperformance and drive risk mitigation.
• Estimate impact of credit expansion on volume, losses, and revenue.
• Assess traditional and non-traditional data sources to strengthen decisioning.
• Document requirements with Technology and validate implementations post-launch.
• Leverage AI tools to support analysis and reporting while ensuring data protection.
