Job summary

Citi is seeking an experienced Credit Risk 2LOD Senior Officer, SVP to lead independent risk assessment of commercial credit portfolios in Irving, Texas. You will analyze creditworthiness, assign risk ratings, and review complex credit approvals in alignment with Wholesale Credit Risk Policy.

With 10+ years in credit risk, you will guide senior stakeholders, monitor portfolios for emerging risks, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Citi’s risk

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in credit risk and risk management.
• Experience overseeing and approving credit applications within a business context.
• Deep understanding of financial analysis and cash flow lending products.
• Proven ability to adapt and implement latest industry trends in credit approval and risk management.
• Effective communication and diplomacy skills to negotiate and influence both colleagues and external customers.
• Strong leadership and people management skills for efficient resource allocation within the team.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on industry developments and apply in-depth knowledge to risk management.
• Provide guidance, review & challenge, and recommendations on complex credit approvals for an assigned credit portfolio.
• Assess the quality of the loan portfolio, including emerging risks and feedback to senior management.
• Monitor assigned portfolio, analyze trends, risks, and statistics to implement preventive measures.
• Oversee deal approvals in collaboration with business partners, demonstrating commercial awareness.
• Participate in developing and refining procedures for approvals, portfolio functions, and credit guidelines.
• Effectively communicate and negotiate with internal stakeholders to influence decisions and impact projects.
• Collaborate with the Risk organization to refine data utilization processes and understand data sources.
• Adhere to compliance standards, assess business risks, and safeguard Citi and its clients.
• Prepare deliverables for internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
• Make informed business decisions considering risk, reputation, laws, and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations and uphold policy and ethical practices.
• Demonstrate change leadership and curiosity to seek better futures and improvements.
