Capital Bank N.A. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join OpenSky. You will leverage advanced analytics to develop lending strategies, inform credit policies, and provide data-backed recommendations that impact customers and financial performance.

Experience in credit analytics and consumer lending is required. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Maryland, with a base salary in the noted range and opportunities for growth within a leading financial institution.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in advanced analytics, including developing credit policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Business.
• Prior experience with credit analytics and consumer lending is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis using advanced analytics in SQL and/or Python.
• Analyze and optimize lending strategies, including approve/decline policy and credit line assignment.
• Develop recommendations on credit strategies based on performance analysis, resiliency testing, and business judgment.
• Present data-backed recommendations to leadership.
• Build or leverage valuation models to inform credit policy recommendations.
• Establish testing and monitoring plans.
• Proactively monitor credit risk and performance, identifying when policy adjustments are needed.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement strategies.
