Job summary

Western Alliance Bank in CityScape seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to assess risk, spread and maintain financial background information, and develop credit studies for loan officers and executives. You will prepare a variety of credit department reports and collaborate on loan packages and treasury-related activities.

The role requires 2+ years in finance, a bachelor's degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance or Economics or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge and understanding of financial statements and ability to analyze business and financial data.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Spread, manage and maintain financial background information on present and prospective customers and develop credit studies for loan officers and executives.
• Prepare in-depth credit department reports and assess risk involved in lending.
• Review client financials and perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate credit risk in bank structures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to execute treasury products, FX instruments, derivatives and loan packages.
