Job summary

City Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to gather and analyze credit information on current and potential borrowers, determine advisability of granting credit for various loan types, and assist loan officers in preparing loan requests.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze credit information on current and potential borrowers.
• Determine advisability of granting credit for diversified loan types.
• Assist loan officers in writing loan requests.
• Promote business by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to staff for new services.
• Prepare comprehensive loan memorandums detailing loan requests and credit quality for loan presentations and approvals.
• Underwrite credit requests of all sizes and complexity.
• Participate in the credit review process to ensure underwriting, policy, and compliance procedures are followed.
• Familiarize oneself with City Bank policy to interpret and apply policy.
• Maintain relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist lenders on client calls/meetings.
• Mentor and train credit analysts and coordinate internal training; participate in hiring and development of the credit department.
• Identify and coordinate external training opportunities for the credit department.
• Ensure procedures and credit requests comply with City Bank’s loan policy.
• Participate in external training modules for advanced credit analysis training at least twice per year.
• Support other duties as required by Regional Credit Managers.

• Proven ability to manage all essential duties of the City Bank Credit Analyst position.
• Prepare comprehensive loan memorandums detailing loan requests and credit quality for loan presentations and approval. Senior Credit Analysts are expected to underwrite credit requests of all sizes and complexity.
• Participate in the credit review process and insure that all underwriting, policy, and compliance procedures are followed.
• Efficiently Familiarize oneself with City Bank policy to effectively interpret, apply, and advise on policy.
• Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist Lenders on client calls/meetings.

• Mentor and train credit analysts as well as coordinate and oversee internal group training. Participate in the hiring process and development of the credit department.

• Participate in external training modules that consist of advanced credit analysis training a minimum of 2 times per year.
• Other job duties as required by the Regional Credit Managers.
