Job summary

Commercial Metals in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our finance team. You will assess credit limits for new and existing customers, analyze financial information, and determine risk for secured and unsecured credit across construction and manufacturing projects.

The role requires 7+ years in credit review, strong knowledge of lien/bond mechanics, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

7+ years of credit review and approval experience in construction or manufacturing.
Knowledge of construction mechanic lien and bonds.
Experience analyzing financial statements.
Experience interpreting consumer and commercial credit reports.
Strong Excel/Word/Microsoft Office skills; experience with SAP or ERP.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Assess credit limits for new and existing customers and jobs, producing recommendations after thorough analysis of a variety of factors
Analyze customers' financial information, including income statements, cash flow history, current debt, balance sheets and credit reports
Provide assessment of profitability of default by a customer and determine risk of extending secure and unsecured credit
Coach less experienced team members on transactions and accounts
Research public records for corporate and UCC filings
On construction projects, ensure CMC is in position to be secured via lien or bond
Interface with internal and external customers regarding changes in credit eligibility and limits
Maintain and improve compliance with the Credit and Collection policy for follow-up and review
Develop and maintain relations with key internal and external customers and other principal industry suppliers
