Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in San Jose, California is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support end-to-end underwriting and portfolio monitoring for commercial relationships. You will independently analyze borrower and guarantor financials, prepare credit memoranda, and assist with risk reviews and committee materials.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Business/Finance/Accounting and 3+ years in commercial banking or credit analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Commercial Banking, credit analysis, underwriting, or related role.
Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial models.

Responsibilities

Partner with Portfolio Managers/Underwriters to support underwriting and ongoing monitoring of commercial credit relationships.
Independently analyze borrower and guarantor financial statements, including cash flow, leverage, liquidity and profitability trends.
Lead preparation of credit approval memoranda with analyses of risks and mitigants.
Develop and validate historical financial charts, projection models and sensitivity analyses.
Prepare portfolio analyses and materials for management and risk committees.
