Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Colorado seeks a Credit Analyst III to partner with relationship managers in evaluating commercial credit information and preparing in-depth reports on financial statements, cash flow, and risk. You will underwrite complex requests with guidance from the manager and ensure compliance with loan policy.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in finance or related field, 7–9 years of banking experience, and proficiency with financial spread software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
• 7-9 years of banking experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 4-6 years experience in a similar position required.
• Experience with financial spread software required.
• Commercial banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads, reviews, and understands financial statements including tax returns, balance sheets, P&L statements, rent rolls, and appraisals.
• Prepares financial spreads for commercial and real estate clients, municipalities, non-profits, and individuals.
• Analyzes credit worthiness by reviewing loan applications, spreads, cash flows, and ratios; identifies risks.
• Authors a comprehensive report of analysis with charts, formulas, graphs, and narrative.
• Evaluates credit quality and suggests risk ratings based on latest financial information.
