Fitch Ratings in New York is seeking an Associate Director to lead coverage of Retail & Consumer credits within the North American Corporates Group. You will develop financial models, meet with company management, and present findings to internal committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• CFA/CPA preferred.
• 4+ years relevant experience, incl. coverage/knowledge of Retail & Consumer sectors.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
• Employee management experience a plus.
• Expertise in Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to shift between multiple projects as priorities change.
• Ability to excel in a team oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of Retail & Consumer companies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with Retail & Consumer industry management teams.
• Present analysis to internal credit rating committees.
• Communicate rating rationale to external audiences in meetings and reports.
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Evaluate other credits within Corporates and related groups.
• Represent Fitch in panel discussions and conferences.
• Mentor junior members of Retail & Consumer sector.
