Fitch Group is seeking a senior professional for US Corporates – Credit Analyst, Director – Retail & Consumer, to lead coverage of the Retail & Consumer sector from Chicago, New York, or Toronto. The role emphasizes analytical depth, modeling, and effective communication with executives and external audiences.

You will mentor juniors and may take on managerial duties within a team‑oriented, global ratings environment, contributing to impactful credit research and sector leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; MBA or similar is a plus.
• 8+ years in credit analysis or related sector experience.
• Strong Excel and Word skills with financial modeling ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of qualitative and quantitative factors influencing credit quality.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Meet with industry management teams for discussions.
• Present analysis to internal credit rating committees.
• Communicate rating rationale to external audiences in meetings and reports.
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Evaluate other credits within Corporates and related groups.
• Represent Fitch in panel discussions and conferences.
• Mentor junior members; role may include managerial responsibilities.
