U.S. Bank is seeking a senior CRE Risk Advisory professional to partner with Commercial Real Estate leadership on risk, controls, and governance. You will lead issue remediation, audit coordination, and process improvements while collaborating with risk, compliance, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience of 10+ years in risk, controls, governance, or related fields.
• Knowledge of financial services regulations and regulatory trends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted risk advisor to CRE business partners on operational risk, controls and governance.
• Support issue identification, root cause analysis, remediation planning and resolution of events.
• Partner with leaders to evaluate risks from new initiatives and process changes.
• Lead process improvement initiatives including mapping, control evaluation and workflow optimization.
• Coordinate and support internal audits and regulatory examinations.
• Assist with risk documentation, governance activities, and ongoing monitoring.
• Support business continuity planning and third-party oversight.
• Assess downstream impacts of organizational changes and propose mitigations.
• Collaborate across risk, compliance, audit, legal, ops, and business functions to address complex issues.
• Monitor risk trends and provide recommendations to strengthen controls.
• Communicate findings and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
