Job summary

RRA Capital, based in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks an experienced Director, Commercial Real Estate Investments to own underwriting from the ground up, evaluating the real estate and business plan, building and pressure-testing the model, and delivering a clear investment view.

You will work with the CIO and investment team, gathering data, structuring executable transactions, and advancing opportunities with brokers and sponsors. The written investment memo matters as much as the math.

Qualifications

• Meaningful history of CRE investment underwriting across deal types and cycles.
• Track record of independently underwriting and closing transactions.
• Strong command of real estate fundamentals, financial analysis and credit risk.
• Ability to build models and write clear investment justifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting end to end: build models, source data, test assumptions and downside scenarios.
• Structure loans around leverage, pricing, covenants and protections.
• Develop a clear investment thesis and communicate opportunities and risks.
• Build relationships with brokers, sponsors and other professionals.
• Own deals from screening through diligence, structuring and closing.
• Contribute ideas that improve how we assess risk and invest over time.
