Job summary

Hilb Group is seeking a Consulting Director for its Parallel Risk Advisors practice to lead CRE insurance and lender consulting initiatives. You will manage client relationships, review loan documents for insurance compliance, and coordinate with brokers and carriers to close gaps.

The role requires deep knowledge of CRE coverage types and a track record in high-stakes negotiations, with the ability to guide a senior technical team and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; relevant professional designations preferred.
• 8–15+ years of CRE insurance, lender consulting/insurance compliance review, or CRE risk management experience.
• Strong command of CRE coverage (property, general liability, umbrella/excess, builder’s risk, OCIP/CCIP, flood, pollution), and debt fund requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex insurance concepts clearly to clients.
• Ability to own client relationships independently and negotiate with borrowers and brokers under closing pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance provisions in loan agreements and related documents; extract and interpret requirements.
• Review evidences of insurance and related documents for compliance with loan terms.
• Prepare and issue insurance reports, including compliance memos and schedule mappings.
• Manage open items tracking through closing and post-closing deliverables.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for lenders and investors; negotiate with borrowers and brokers to close gaps.
• Incorporate AI and workflow automation to improve lender consulting processes.
