Job summary

Arizona Federal Credit Union is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer to originate, structure, negotiate, and manage complex CRE credit relationships for investors, developers, sponsors, and owner-operators. This role covers acquisition, construction, bridge, refinance, and permanent financing across property types.

The position focuses on leading CRE lending efforts, mentoring staff, and driving growth while maintaining asset quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• 7+ years CRE lending or related financial services.
• 5+ years independently originating and managing CRE lending relationships.
• Proven track record with large, complex CRE portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with CRE investors, developers, sponsors, brokers, and other influencers.
• Identify and pursue CRE lending opportunities through networking and business development.
• Achieve production, portfolio growth, and relationship goals.
• Provide sophisticated financing solutions and guidance to CRE clients.
• Independently manage the largest and most complex CRE relationships.
• Structure, negotiate, and manage CRE credit facilities across various financing types.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, appraisals, and other due diligence to assess creditworthiness.
• Lead negotiations and structuring for multi-entity and multi-sponsor transactions.
• Coordinate with underwriting, operations, legal, and third-party professionals to close deals.
• Mentor Commercial Real Estate Loan Officers, analysts, and staff.
