Job summary

Trimont, founded in 1988, is a leading global commercial real estate loan services provider. The Senior Associate, Investment Advisory will oversee a diversified portfolio of complex CRE debt transactions—whole loans, syndicated loans and CMBS—across stabilized, construction and transitional loans, with independent review of loan agreements and third‑party reports.

This onsite role is based at a client location in El Segundo, CA or Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–5 years of related CRE experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and quantitative skills.
• Robust analytical and communication skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Understand multiple transaction types: whole loans, syndicated loans, and CMBS.
• Portfolio management of all transaction types including stabilized, construction and transitional loans.
• Able to work on complicated transactions independently and with a team.
• Understanding of macro-economic trends and real estate investment fundamentals.
• Expertise with third party reports including appraisals, engineering reports, environmental assessments, zoning letters, credit reports, background checks and legal documents.
• Experience in multiple markets, research, lending market trends and real estate market movements.
• Perform independent reviews of notes, loan agreements, yield maintenance, and other legal documents.
• Draft internal communications and responses to servicers, appraisers, etc., and facilitate training as needed.
• Assist in reviewing loan modification documentation, audit requests, etc., requiring strong knowledge of Loan Operations systems.
• Assist in managing data in relevant loan management and accounting systems.
• Review, monitor, and provide feedback on servicer performance and correspondence for lenders.
• Monitor and track receipt of third-party servicer certifications, bank certifications, financials, and USAP.
