Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) seeks an experienced Crane Operator to support our heavy civil construction projects. The role requires operating cranes for pile driving, tandem lifts, and critical lifts with precision and safety.

The successful candidate will collaborate with site supervisors, maintain equipment, and follow all safety procedures, including occasional night and weekend shifts. NCCCO certifications (LBC, TLL, TSS) are required, along with strong load chart, rigging, and lift

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of crane operating experience in heavy construction.
• Proven experience with pile driving, tandem lifts, and critical lifts.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
• NCCCO Certifications required, including LBC, TLL, TSS.
• Strong understanding of load charts, rigging, and lift planning.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes safely and efficiently for various construction activities
• Perform pile driving, tandem lifts, and critical lifts according to project specifications
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that safety procedures are followed at all times
• Collaborate with site supervisors and rigging teams to execute lifts accurately
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
• Other duties as assigned
