Qualifications

• MS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years CPU RTL experience.
• Expertise in microprocessor architecture including timers, interrupt controller, configuration access protocols, RAS and safety aspects, AMU/PMU architecture, power management architectures – Active and Idle power management, limit and clock architecture, debug/trace and scan dump architecture
• Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL; experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools
• Knowledge of logic design principles with timing and power implications.

Responsibilities

• Performance exploration with the CPU modeling team.
• Microarchitecture development and specification from early exploration to detailed spec.
• RTL ownership: development, assessment, and refinement to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals.
• Functional verification support for the design verification team.
• Performance verification support to ensure RTL meets performance goals.
• Design delivery: work with cross-functional teams to validate physical design for timing, area, reliability, testability, and power.
• Collaborate with Software, Firmware, and platform teams to enable CPU system features.
