Job summary

ZipApply is seeking a Senior Accountant / CPA to oversee financial reporting, audits, reconciliations, and streamline accounting processes. The role is onsite in Duluth, GA, with a clear pathway to Assistant Controller for a high-performing professional.

This position requires CPA or progress toward CPA, 4+ years of accounting experience (public accounting background preferred), and solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA desirable.
• 4+ years accounting experience, preferably starting in public accounting.
• Experience in construction or real estate industries strongly preferred.
• CPA license or progression toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy.
• Assist in budget development and variance analysis.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership across functions.
• Propose improvements to financial processes and controls.
• Track regulatory changes and industry trends.
