Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Course Scheduler in Mathematics to plan and coordinate class schedules on the UT Main Campus. You will work with the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Education and other units to ensure classroom availability and efficient course delivery.

Responsibilities include managing course loads, FaSET, CIS administration, grade reporting, waitlists, and textbook logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least three years of relevant administrative experience.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; follow instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Solid knowledge of office productivity tools (Microsoft Office).
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling courses for the department in coordination with the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Education, Chair of Graduate Studies and Graduate Advisor.
• Consult as necessary with the Associate Chair in resolving conflicts between faculty requested courses/course times and availability.
• Implement college and departmental teaching loads and enrollment requirements; oversee FaSET and course inventory.
• Serve as the administrator of Course Instructor Surveys (CIS) and upload final reports.
• Manage grade reporting, input, and changes for all courses including Individual Instruction; upload syllabi to the Registrar site.
• Process Authorization to Teach Graduate Course forms and exam waivers when applicable.
• Manage waitlists during registration and coordinate with student advisors; provide resources for undergraduate inquiries.
• Track statistical data related to undergraduate programs.
• Attend CNS Dean's office meetings about undergraduate classes.
• Manage and order textbooks and course materials; maintain calendars of classrooms and reservations.
• Other related functions as assigned.
