Job summary

Capital One's Card Legal team seeks a Senior Manager, Senior Counsel- Servicing Innovation to serve as the primary legal advisor for critical servicing technologies and initiatives.

You will partner with business leaders, Compliance, and Risk to assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and contractual risks associated with AI and customer servicing initiatives, providing practical guidance to enable strategic business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 5 years of experience as an attorney in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal counsel for servicing initiatives and emerging technologies.
• Partner with business leaders, Compliance, and Risk to assess and mitigate legal/regulatory risks.
• Provide practical legal advice and help navigate complex regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Build collaborative relationships across Card Legal and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
• Adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and prioritize deadlines.
• Work with outside counsel as needed and maintain an executive presence in engagements.
