Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Senior Counsel with 10+ years of civil litigation experience to join its Seattle, WA defense team, handling diverse insurance and liability matters.

The role includes taking depositions, drafting pleadings, and managing discovery while coordinating with insurance carriers and insureds. A JD and WA licensure are required, with strong research and writing skills and timely, clear communication.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Washington State.
• Experience in civil litigation and defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Take depositions, attend hearings and mediations as required.
• Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/LexisNexis.
• Draft discovery requests and responses.
• Review and analyze documents for production.
• Investigate claims and develop case strategies.
• Report to insurance carrier clients and insureds.
• Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in them.
