Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its insurance coverage litigation practice in Seattle. The attorney will advise insurers on coverage analyses and defend against bad faith claims across jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include drafting coverage opinions, pleadings, and discovery motions, conducting legal research, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel. Requires Washington bar admission and strong advocacy, research, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Washington State.
• Experience in insurance coverage and litigation or commercial litigation with an interest in insurance coverage.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
• Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Manage matters, deadlines, and client communication proactively.
