EMD Serono is seeking a Lead Counsel to act as the primary legal advisor for a key brand in the Rare Tumors area. You will review promotional and scientific materials, provide guidance on marketing and medical affairs, and manage outside counsel for Therapeutic Area projects.

You will oversee regulatory compliance with FDA, OIG, CMS, and state requirements, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and train teams on healthcare laws.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7–10 years of legal experience in a firm and/or in-house.
• Ability to interpret and apply laws and guidance in a business context.

Responsabilités

• Serve as lead attorney for a key brand in Rare Tumors Therapeutic area; review marketing and scientific materials; advise on Marketing, Sales and Medical Affairs.
• Manage outside counsel and collaborate with paralegals on Therapeutic Area projects.
• Ensure FDA, OIG, CMS and state compliance; uphold company policies and industry codes.
• Draft, review, and negotiate advertising, consulting, distribution, and healthcare professional agreements.
• Deliver legal training on healthcare laws and company compliance requirements.
• Partner with Commercial, Compliance, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory teams to align practices with laws.
