Job summary

Medica is seeking an Associate General Counsel III to join our Legal Department and support the Provider Network contracting team. This office-based role will protect the organization's rights in contract negotiations, settlements and disputes, providing broad legal services across insurance, health, and regulatory issues.

Office location in Omaha, with travel as needed. The position reports to the General Counsel and requires a J.D., active bar license, and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a current license to practice law in at least one United States jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of work experience beyond degree
• Contract experience and negotiation experience

Responsibilities

• Draft provider contract templates, amendments, including value-based payment provisions.
• Be the first point of contact for Network contract managers with template questions.
• Negotiate directly with provider legal counsel.
• Provide legal support for provider quality of care and regulatory responses.
• Advise on disputes and research state/federal laws and regulations.
