Job summary

Medica seeks an Associate General Counsel III to join our Legal Department and support our Provider Network contracting team. This on-site role focuses on contract negotiations, templates, and regulatory matters, with responsibility for disputes, quality of care, and risk management.

The role requires a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, active U.S. licensure, and 5+ years of experience, preferably with healthcare or insurance exposure.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and current U.S. license.
• 5+ years of experience beyond law degree.
• Experience in contract negotiation and advice to internal clients.

Responsibilities

• Draft provider contract templates and amendments, incl. value-based provisions.
• Serve as primary contact for contract template questions and counterproposal language.
• Negotiate directly with provider counsel.
• Support provider quality of care and regulatory/claims-related investigations.
• Offer legal guidance for disputes and align with state/federal laws.
• Research and interpret relevant laws, regs, and guidance.
