Job summary

WEKA seeks a Senior Counsel to own the product-facing legal function, build scalable processes, and upgrade the privacy program. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Security to navigate data use, AI governance, and customer negotiations.

You will report to the General Counsel and help drive compliance, vendor management, and strategic risk across WEKA’s NeuralMesh platform.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of legal experience counseling product and engineering teams at a tech company.
• Experience building or upgrading a privacy program including DPAs and data mapping.
• Strong ability to translate legal requirements into practical terms for engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and own product review process and privacy program upgrades for scale.
• Lead privacy governance, data protection, and AI regulation considerations in deals.
• Provide backup on commercial matters and manage outside counsel efficiently.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Sales on customer materials and diligence.
