Job summary

WEKA is hiring our third in-house lawyer to own the product-facing side of the legal function, focusing on product counseling and privacy/data protection. You will build a scalable review process and upgrade privacy program in collaboration with the GC, IT, Engineering, and Security.

The role emphasizes practical, technically fluent legal partner to Product, Engineering, and Sales, with opportunities to shape governance and compliance as WEKA scales its NeuralMesh platform.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years legal experience counseling product and engineering teams at a technology company.
• Experience building or upgrading a privacy program and handling DPAs.
• Strong ability to translate legal requirements into practical terms for engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead product-facing legal review process for features and releases.
• Own privacy program upgrades and DPA framework for scalable compliance.
• Draft policies and playbooks to enable rapid product development with minimal legal touch.
• Provide backup support on commercial matters like NDAs and procurement contracts.
