Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel focused on monetization, user controls, and AI-driven advertising products. You will provide strategic legal counsel to product, engineering, and business teams developing and scaling Meta's monetization ecosystem.

You will navigate privacy, consumer protection, and emerging AI regulation across global jurisdictions, partnering with privacy, policy, and multi-disciplinary teams to enable compliant, scalable product

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required.
• Active membership in at least one US state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience including law firm and/or in-house or government work.
• Experience advising on digital advertising, AI-driven products, or technology platforms across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience working independently and cross-functionally on complex legal projects.
• Experience applying data protection, consumer protection, or competition law to tech products/services.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal counsel to product, engineering, and monetization teams on AI-powered advertising products, user controls, and revenue surfaces.
• Analyze monetization features and AI capabilities to identify legal risks across data protection, consumer protection, IP, and competition law.
• Develop legal frameworks for novel monetization use cases including generative AI in advertising.
• Partner with privacy, regulatory, commercial, and litigation teams to coordinate cross-functional legal strategy.
• Collaborate with public policy, communications, and partnerships teams on regulatory issues affecting Meta's monetization and AI products.
• Support compliance with global AI regulations, advertising standards, and data protection laws.
• Identify emerging legal risks and propose scalable risk mitigation approaches in AI monetization.
• Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to drive legally sound product decisions at scale.
• Develop and maintain legal guidance and documentation to support consistent counseling across teams.
