Job summary

The Dow Chemical Company is seeking a Senior Counsel in its Commercial & Innovation Law group, located in Midland, MI. You will provide legal counsel on commercial and transactional issues across Dow’s Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure segment, partnering with business units and functions worldwide.

You will review, draft, and negotiate documents; train clients; manage outside counsel; and foster cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws.
• A minimum of 4 years practicing as an in-house counsel or corporate/commercial/transactional attorney.
• Admission to State Bar or eligible for admission.
• U.S. work eligibility is required; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on commercial and transactional matters for Dow's businesses and functions.
• Review and draft legal documents, identify potential legal risks, and propose client-focused solutions.
• Host client legal training and education on topics aligned with the Legal team's risk mitigation practices.
• Collaborate within a team of legal professionals and business/functional clients; delegate work to appropriate resources.
