Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor to executive leadership.
• Provide strategic legal guidance across day-to-day operations.
• Support commercial real estate operations, including leasing and portfolio matters.
• Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and organizational issues.
• Oversee risk management matters.
• Manage outside counsel on specialized matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements.
• Partner with leadership to develop practical legal solutions.
• Supervise legal support staff and guide internal processes.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced attorney seeking a highly visible, business-facing role with broad responsibility and true ownership. The Senior Counsel will serve as the organization’s sole attorney, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while overseeing a wide range of legal and strategic matters across the business.

This is not a narrow specialist role. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial real estate experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic ownership/operator environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor to executive leadership
• Provide strategic legal guidance across day-to-day business operations
• Support commercial real estate operations, including leasing and portfolio matters
• Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and organizational legal issues
• Oversee risk management matters
• Manage outside counsel on specialized legal matters and transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and legal documentation
• Partner closely with business leadership to develop practical legal solutions
• Supervise legal support staff and help guide internal legal processes

Qualifications

Required:

• 10+ years of legal experience
• Meaningful experience in both:
• in-house legal roles
• Excellent business judgment and executive communication skills
• Ability to work independently as the senior legal leader

Compensation:

$250,000 – $400,000 total annual cash compensation

Work Arrangement

• 2–3 days in office
