Job summary

Unknown is seeking an in-house Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its legal team in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on sophisticated CRE transactions and provides exposure to senior leadership.

You will draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements, support acquisitions and financing, and collaborate with business and investment teams. A strong drafting and negotiation background and CA Bar membership are essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top law school required.
• Active California Bar membership required.
• 2+ years of sophisticated CRE transactional experience.
• Experience with leases, purchase/sale agreements, financing, and joint ventures.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements including leases, purchase/sale agreements, financing documents, and joint venture agreements.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and other real estate transactions.
• Provide practical legal guidance with internal teams and coordinate with outside counsel on complex matters.
• Assist with corporate governance, compliance, and general legal matters.

Compensation: $160K–$190K Base + Bonus

About the Opportunity

An established commercial real estate investment and development firm is seeking an attorney to join its in-house legal team. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior legal leadership on sophisticated real estate transactions while gaining broader exposure to the business and taking ownership of a variety of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, financing documents, and joint venture agreements.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and other real estate transactions.
• Partner with internal business and investment teams to provide practical legal guidance.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on complex transactions, corporate matters, and legal disputes.
• Assist with corporate governance, compliance, and general legal matters as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a highly regarded law school.
• Active California Bar membership required.
• 2+ years of sophisticated commercial real estate transactional experience.
• Background at a leading law firm or in-house with a commercial real estate investment, development, or operating company.
