Qualifications

• Requires JD or LL.M. degree in law.
• Minimum seven years of directly related legal experience.
• Experience representing higher education or in a law firm.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive guidance on legal issues to UH System administrators, faculty and staff.
• Reviews information requests and prepares responsive materials.
• Represents UH System in administrative and legal matters.
• Trips to meetings, depositions, mediations, and hearings as needed.
• Drafts documents, policies, and legal materials; trains administrators on legal issues.
