Job summary

Constellation in Baltimore is seeking a senior lawyer to handle complex energy transactions and advise clients on business risks and strategic opportunities. You will review and draft commercial contracts, provide clear legal guidance, and work with cross functional teams on energy projects including nuclear, gas, and renewables.

Excellent written and oral communication, strong research skills, and a JD from an accredited school are required.

Qualifications

• 8-years professional experience in a specialized area of law.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing and to analyze legal materials and data.
• Excellent legal research, analytical abilities, and knowledge of federal and/or state law.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply them to complex assignments.
• An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Handle and supervise complex energy transactions; evaluate both legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly with minimal supervision.
• Review and draft commercial contracts and advise clients accordingly.
• Work closely with and advise clients on business operations, emergent industry opportunities and developments and other related matters.
• Projects / duties as assigned.
