The Senior Commercial Counsel for Digital Technology/Information Technology (DT/IT) procurement provides ongoing legal advice and support to business leaders across GE Aerospace. This role can be remote within the US.

Job Description

The Senior Commercial Counsel for DT/IT procurement will serve as a key legal advisor within GE Aerospace, supporting negotiations and drafting of technology agreements, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property rights. You will collaborate with various internal teams to strategize on legal matters related to digital technology procurement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on digital technology agreements, including structuring, interpreting, and negotiating complex deals.
• Support procurement activities related to software, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and hardware agreements.
• Advise on global data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property considerations.
• Assist in managing legal risks and resolving disputes with suppliers.
• Collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and effective risk management.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the State Bar.
• At least 7 years of legal experience, with a focus on technology procurement.
• Experience negotiating technology agreements, including licensing, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and hardware.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property law.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
