Job Description Summary

The Senior Commercial Counsel for Digital Technology/Information Technology (DT/IT) procurement provides ongoing legal advice and support to business leaders across GE Aerospace. This can be a remote role in the US.

Job Description

The Senior Commercial Counsel for DT/IT procurement will serve as a legal advisor to GE Aerospace, focusing on digital technology agreements. You will collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams to draft, negotiate, and strategize on various agreements, emphasizing DT/IT procurement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice related to digital technology agreements, including structuring, interpreting, and negotiating complex deals, supporting both commercial and U.S. government business.
• Support negotiations involving software licenses, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, telecom, and hardware agreements.
• Advise on global data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property considerations within technology procurement.
• Manage audits, address emerging risks, and develop strategies to mitigate legal and commercial risks.
• Collaborate across teams and manage external counsel as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the State Bar.
• At least 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on technology.
• Experience negotiating technology procurement agreements, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and hardware.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property law.
• Strong negotiation and legal analysis skills.
