The Senior Commercial Counsel for Digital Technology/Information Technology (DT/IT) procurement provides ongoing legal advice and support to business leaders across GE Aerospace. This is a remote role based in the US.

Job Description

The Senior Commercial Counsel for DT/IT procurement offers legal guidance to GE Aerospace on digital technology agreements, including structuring, negotiating, and interpreting these deals. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and advising on legal and commercial risks associated with technology procurement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide legal support related to digital technology agreements, including negotiating complex deals and advising on procurement strategies.
• Advise legal and non-legal colleagues on legal and business issues.
• Oversee audits and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Address unanticipated legal and business issues proactively.
• Manage referrals to legal specialists and outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the State Bar.
• At least 7 years of legal experience, with a focus on technology law.
• Experience negotiating technology procurement agreements, including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, hardware, and telecom contracts.
• Knowledge of global data privacy laws, cybersecurity standards, and intellectual property considerations.
• Ability to interpret complex deals and advise on legal risks.
