Lydecker LLP seeks a Senior Counsel in Texas with a TX bar license and at least six years of civil defense litigation experience, including construction defect and general liability matters. The role is hybrid, based in Houston or Dallas, requiring strong client communication and independent work ethic.

The attorney will handle deposits, court appearances, and motions, with potential mediation and trial tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires TX bar license in good standing.
• JD from ABA-approved law school.
• Minimum 6 years of civil defense litigation experience.
• Experience handling up to 15+ cases concurrently with depositions and court appearances.
• Drafting motions and discovery; mediation and trial experience a plus.
• Strong client communication skills and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Billable duties as required.
• Draft/review petitions/complaints, motions, and written discovery.
• Attend hearings and client meetings when requested.
• Prepare for and attend depositions.
• Assist with mediation and trial preparations.
