Hello Heart is seeking a Senior Counsel, Data Governance to lead legal and regulatory strategy for data use, AI governance, and privacy programs. You will negotiate data rights, ensure compliance with HIPAA and state laws, and work with C-suite on high-impact decisions.

You will own day-to-day privacy and AI governance operations, translate complex requirements into contracts, policies, and controls, and partner with product, engineering, and security teams to enable responsible AI and data

Qualificações

• 8+ years of legal experience in healthcare privacy and compliance in a HIPAA-regulated setting.
• Experience negotiating complex data rights with enterprise clients and partners.
• Experience operating healthcare privacy and compliance programs.
• Strong compliance judgment with an owner-operator mindset.
• Advanced AI fluency and experience with AI governance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead negotiations on data rights with clients and partners, including data use, ownership, AI rights, retention and de-identification.
• Oversee the privacy program and HIPAA/state privacy requirements, notices, consents, and breach response.
• Lead AI governance program, including laws, inventories, risk assessments, and governance records.
• Translate legal requirements into practical policies, controls, and operational plans.
