Hello Heart is seeking a Deputy General Counsel, Product to provide pragmatic, strategic legal guidance across our products, including FDA-cleared heart monitor, app, AI insights, and AI medication assistant. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Data Science, Sales, Client Support and Compliance to navigate regulatory requirements and support commercial transactions.

Competenze

• Strong AI fluency and ability to use AI tools for legal research, risk assessment, drafting, and cross-functional execution.
• 15+ years of legal experience in healthcare, digital health, or health tech, with product counseling and enforcement risk experience.
• Experience drafting terms of service, disclosures, disclaimers, consent language, and patient-facing legal documentation in regulated environments.
• JD from an accredited US law school and active state bar license.

Mansioni

• Lead negotiation of customer-facing contractual provisions relating to data rights, AI usage, product functionality, and legal protections.
• Advise on regulatory requirements for product features, including FDA-regulated software and digital health products.
• Partner with Compliance on data privacy, HIPAA, consumer protection, and related risks in product design and operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, amendments, and statements of work, especially with health plans and complex partners.
• Maintain terms of service and other member-facing legal documentation; advise on product liability risks.
• Collaborate on responsible AI governance, including data use commitments and transparency obligations.
• Provide guidance on telehealth, health information exchange, and state-specific consent language and notices.
• Advise on IP matters, including open source compliance and IP-related provisions in agreements.
• Monitor industry trends, enforcement actions, and regulatory developments related to AI in healthcare.
