Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior Counsel for its Commercial & Innovation Law group in Houston, TX. You will advise on transactional matters for Hydrocarbons, Feedstocks and Energy & Climate businesses, drafting agreements and mitigating risk across global teams.

You will train clients, lead negotiations, and coordinate with internal lawyers and external counsel to deliver practical solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.M. in law, with bar admission in the U.S.
• Minimum 4 years of in-house or corporate/transactional experience
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on transactional matters for hydrocarbon, feedstock, energy & climate businesses
• Draft and review legal documents; identify risk and propose solutions for clients
• Deliver client training and educate teams on risk mitigation
• Collaborate across legal, business and functional teams; manage external resources
• Allocate work to appropriate resources and manage outside counsel as needed
• Communicate proactively with Legal leadership and clients
• Support relocation if eligible and assist with transitions
