Job summary

Meta seeks a Commercial Counsel to join its AI Partnerships Legal group. You will lead complex tech licensing and strategic partnerships across the AI ecosystem, aligning legal risk with business goals.

The role requires a US-licensed attorney with 5+ years in technology transactions, cloud or SaaS deals, and in-house experience at scale. You will shape go-to-market strategies for platform products and ensure responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
5+ years of legal experience in technology transactions, commercial licensing, or strategic partnerships.
Experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements (cloud, SaaS, platform or similar tech deals).
Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and drive deals to close with minimal oversight.
Experience assessing legal risk and advising business stakeholders on risk mitigation in evolving regulatory environments.
Demonstrated AI-related skills and familiarity with AI model licensing, distribution, or commercialization.
Background working with CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP) on tech distribution or marketplace agreements.
Experience adhering to responsible, ethical AI practices.
